Handmaidens of the Lord

Mother Mary is our role model whom we will imitate.  Let us live by Mother Mary’s response “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.” Luke1:38

This ministry began on October 25, 2024, under the guidance and direction of Father Raymundo Manriquez

Goals of the Ministry:

·         This a ministry for women

·         This is a bilingual ministry

·         These will be conferences; not retreats

·         Will follow the Men’s Ministry format

·         Learn the catholic faith

·         Learn the role of women from God’s perspective for all vocations

·         Bring unity to the entire community

·         All parishes from the Diocese of Lubbock are invited to attend

·         Conference will be on a Saturday Morning; free admission

·         Guest speakers must be practicing Catholics and follow church teaching

As a women’s group, we have developed a beautiful sisterhood. We have built trust and confidence in each other where we pray together, pray for each other daily and share our lives with each other.  We do our best to build up the Kingdom of God everywhere we are and with all those we encounter, most especially with each other.  We respect the dignity of other persons by showing kindness, not pass judgement and offer unconditional love. We are women who want to learn more about God, church teachings and walk closer to God. We also collaborate with the men's group Mighty Men of God for the joined conferences.
